The Oscars 2019 came and went without a host, and you know what? We absolutely loved it. The ceremony was full of way more viral moments than we’re used to tabulating for your postshow rundown, and even if it meant we had to tear ourselves away from watching Irina Shayk sitting in between Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to get them all down, so be it. We had a few major upsets, GIFs, puppets, shade, and, most importantly, a nearly NSFW stage performance, all of which made for an experience light-years better than any recent awards show. So we’d like to thank the Academy—for not filling Kevin Hart’s role, and for keeping things spicy.
