Over the past week, much inspiration emerged from the Paris runways. Hairstylists and makeup artists doubled down on their creativity to complement designer visions and supply new ways to wear graphic eyeliner, sleek ponytails, and bold lipstick. Here, a rundown of the hair and makeup looks to follow next spring—or right now.

1. The New Ponytail at Chanel

On the Chanel runway, lengths were swept back and secured in a low ponytail with a metallic logo-emblazoned barrette. The overall effect of the style—the clip slid ever so casually over lengths—was chic without being too polished. It was both elegant and effortless.

2. Miu Miu’s Thin Headband

At Miu Miu, a thin headband was worn across the hairline with a clean side part and ultrasleek lengths.

3. The Smoky Lash Lines at Louis Vuitton

Fresh skin enhanced by a touch of highlighter on the cheekbones was accented with a smoky black halo shaded into the lash lines at the Louis Vuitton show. A simple smudge of pencil is all it takes to recreate it.

4. The Extra-Long Hair at Zimmermann

At the Zimmermann show, lengths of all textures tumbled down to the hips in a romantic bohemian-chic style crafted by hairstylist Damien Boissinot. The look embodies everything we love about the mood of spring and summer.

5. Valentino’s Micro-Fringe

To counterbalance the collection’s colorful looks, the hairstyles at Valentino created by Guido Palau were square and severe. Next spring may very well mark the return of the micro-fringe, which frames the face as if it were a painting.

6. Givenchy’s Bleached Brows

In harmony with the naturalistic elements at the Givenchy show, minimalist makeup played off a theme of transparency. Makeup artist Lucia Pieroni bleached eyebrows to better showcase the eyes, with lashes overloaded with mascara in a very ’60s spirit.

7. The Pure Beauty of Victoria Beckham

For the designer’s first showing in Paris, Victoria Beckham channeled the spirit of French beauty with a no-makeup makeup effect. Seemingly bare complexions were enhanced with dewy lips, subtle touches of strategic glow, and “lifted” brows by makeup artist Diane Kendal. The hair, crafted by Duffy, was slicked back as if finger-combed with a simple sweep of the hand at the end of a shower.

8. The New Wet Hair at Vivienne Westwood

Wet-look hair may be omnipresent this season, but the trend was taken to a new level by hairstylist Charlie Le Mindu at the Vivienne Westwood show. Beyond dampened, model hair was soaked and frozen in place with strong-hold gel.

9. Giambattista Valli’s Skin Jewelry

According to the Giambattista Valli runway, a big night out is not complete without a pear-shaped diamond glued to the skin. In tandem with sculptural finger waves and barely there makeup designed by Isamaya Ffrench, the statement was pure luxury.

10. The Sleek Side Part at Loewe

To match Jonathan Anderson’s poetic creations, model hairstyles were kept chic and streamlined. After being swept deeply to one side, Palau pulled the hair back neatly at the nape.

11. The Criss-Cross Liner at Dior

The beauty inspiration for Dior? On the one hand, there was Catherine de’ Medici; on the other, Stella Lucia, one of the models who walked the show. Capturing the neo-grunge codes of the moment, the makeup saw Peter Philips accenting the eyeliner with criss-cross designs at the inner corner of the eye. Minimal detail, maximum impact!

12. The Mermaidcore Beauty of Chloé

At the Chloé show, lids were saturated in a shimmering silver halo by makeup artist Hannah Murray. Combined with wet hair by Holli Smith, they looked like mermaids straight out of the water. Consider the beauty an ultrafresh strategy for heading into spring and summer.

13. The Low Ponytail at Saint Laurent

Both chic and classic, the polished ponytails created by Duffy for Saint Laurent couldn’t have been more Parisian. This season’s woman wears the ponytail parted to the side and as low on the nape as possible.

14. Dries Van Noten’s Bold Smoky Eyes

Yves Klein blue, black, or gold, the smoky eye was reimagined in all shades at Dries Van Noten. To counterbalance the strong eye look, the rest of the beauty was more muted. Makeup artist Lucy Bridge served up natural skin and lips enhanced with a slick of balm, while hairstylist Sam McKnight finessed damp, textured lengths.
