There are many ways to take advantage of the French Riviera s balmy spring temperatures on the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. There s the dramatic leg reveal. The fully exposed arms. But this season, it s a swath of bare back that s striking the fancy of festival-going stars.
Leading the pack has been Cannes s breakout star Laura Harrier, who attended the amfAR Gala in a low-slung powder blue gown by The Row with a Bulgari Serpenti diamond necklace worn backwards to accent her toned shoulders. And Bella Hadid offered up a similar mic-drop moment with her upper body work in a slinky, diamante silver gown and slicked top knot, while Irina Shayk proved that her voluminous black gown had plenty of sex appeal to offer when her over-the-shoulder pose revealed an open back to arresting effect.
