Cocktails were called for at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday evening at Manhattan’s Carbone, but the guests couldn’t wait to take their seats and start gabbing. Just one night after the first presidential debate, Ryan Seacrest and Ford Motor Company CEO Mark Fields hosted a modern-day media roundtable for some of fashion, film, and multimedia’s most notable, at one of the city’s hottest boîtes. Taking in the yummy nibbles and scintillating chatter were the New Museum’s Karen Wong, Carly Zakin and Danielle Weisberg of TheSkimm, along with Hugh Evans, CEO of Global Citizen, who had just completed this year’s epic concert headlined by Rihanna. Also joining the festivities were Terry Lundgren of Macy’s, joined by his wife, Tina, and Soraya Darabi of e-tailer Zady.com, while a lively discussion lasted long into the evening.
