When Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco tied the knot on September 27 in Santa Barbara, the singer leaned into all of the romance of an early fall wedding. She wore a floor-grazing halterneck gown with delicate embroidery by Ralph Lauren, enhanced by a beauty look rooted in classic Hollywood glamour.
The bride’s makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, has revealed exactly how he created Gomez’s radiant wedding day look, using products from her own brand, Rare Beauty, as well as his signature Hung Vanngo Beauty palettes.
Vanngo, who describes his client as the “chillest bride ever,” created a classic matte base using Rare Beauty Foundation, and lifted Selena’s complexion with the Positive Light Undereye Brightener in the shade Light. Next, he defined Gomez’s cheekbones further with a swish of the Warm Wishes Effortless Bronzer Stick in shade On the Horizon, and dabbed on the Soft Pinch Liquid Contour in Solace.
True to Myself Tinted Pressed Finishing Powder in the shade Opal was used to set this first phase in place, while the bride’s brows were groomed to perfection using the Brow Harmony Precision Brow Pencil and Flexible Lifting Gel. Gomez’s eyes were accentuated with the Hung Vanngo Beauty Color Story Eyeshadow Palette in New Neutral, and a sleek, Cleopatra flick was applied using the Rare Beauty Perfect Strokes Gel Eyeliner.
The Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in the shade Smitten added a romantic wedding day flush, before Vanngo traced on the Kind Words Matte Lipliner in Committed (which perfectly matched the blush), and then added a dose of shimmer with the Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil in Happy.
Finally, fluttery lashes were achieved with the Perfect Strokes Universal Volumizing Mascara, and the rosy makeup look was fixed in place with the Hung Vanngo Beauty Soft Focus Blurring Matte Powder Bronzer in Positivity. The rest of her glam was rounded out by hairstylist Renato Campora—who created an elegant, Marcel wave bob—and nail artist Tom Bachik on the self-described “angel nails” manicure.

And Selena Gomez has gone so far as to unveil a special edition Rare Beauty wedding kit, made up of the products she used on her own big day – and all for a good cause. Her brand has said it will contribute 100 per cent of profits from the sale of each Something Rosy Lip Cheek Set sold between now and the end of 2025 to the Rare Impact Fund.
In the words of Vanngo: “Not a bridezilla in sight.”
