If the clothes on this season’s runways were full of mixed messages—from neon bikinis to practical white dresses, shoulder pads to see-through blouses—the accessories were equal parts pretty and peculiar. In fact, some of our favorite bags, shoes, and extras (for lack of a better word) don’t really fit into a “trend” category—they simply elicited an O-M-G, need-it-now feeling. Alongside Insta-friendly items like Balenciaga’s pouf bag and Valentino’s lipstick holder were a few more surprises (purple tights, anyone?) and quite functional pieces, too, like walkable heels and boots.
