There are sample sales, and then there are Dover Street Market sample sales. Picture a giant warehouse filled with archival Comme des Garçons and Junya Watanabe, plus recent collections by Simone Rocha, Nike, and Raf Simons . . . all at up to 80 percent off. Understandably, the sales draw enormous crowds. DSM kicked off its latest sale, titled “Market Market Walls and Statues,” in London last night, and the most dedicated shoppers queued up to be first in the door. Photographer Grace Lunn was there to shoot the best dressed of the bunch—think cherry-print overalls, vintage jerseys, and rainbow knits, all accessorized with jumbo DSM shopping bags.
