This week in Sydney, a bold handful of the Aussie fashion set traded in their typical subdued neutrals and surprised us with bold and bright hues. In what is usually a sea of beige-toned ensembles at Sydney Fashion Week, high-saturated silhouettes stood out, particularly in the form of brightly colored pants. Those who opted to try spring’s pant trends (in loose trousers or menswear-inspired pleats) did so in shades of joy-inducing color.

Those of us who are interested in a pair of vibrant trousers should look to the streets of Sydney for a dose of outfit inspiration and tips on how to incorporate them into our spring and summer style. Here, find five ways to wear and shop the season’s best and brightest bottoms, from pleated trousers in hot pink to baggy pants in teal and every shade in between.
