There’s a handful of celebrities who are known for their hair. Whether it’s Julia Roberts and her tumbling auburn ringlets, Diana Ross and her mane of fluffy curls, or Leslie Bibb’s [insert profanity here] little bob, for certain stars, their hair becomes a calling card—and Sydney Sweeney can now count herself among their number.

Stepping out in a Balmoral-ready outfit over the weekend for a screening of her new film Christy, Sweeney’s banoffee blonde—think toffee base with honey-blonde highlights woven in—hair stole the show. Styling was by longtime Syd glam squad member Glen Oropeza, and the new color is by her go-to colorist Jacob Schwartz, a Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Hair Color Trend Ambassador. With a mane this ultra-long—it reached almost to her elbows—she looks more like the Sweeney we met back in 2019, when Euphoria’s Cassie burst onto our screens.

Sticking with the warm, brown, monochromatic theme, Sweeney wore a white shirt with a belted chocolate blazer, tweed knee-length skirt and heeled brown suede boots.

The actor, who just celebrated her 28th birthday—in a Britney-inspired metallic dress, no less—has been rocking her long hair for a hot minute. Though in 2024, she chopped it into a flicky, nape-grazing bob.

Something of a blonde loyalist, Sweeney has oscillated between bright, box-blonde (admittedly for roles rather than red carpets), cool-toned ash blonde, rooty Pamela-esque blonde, strawberry-tinted blonde, and her current iteration of warm bronde roots with a treacle-coloured balayage. The result? A blonde tone close to that smooth, sweet, caramel middle of a banoffee pie.
