Ah, the Grove, a beloved Los Angeles landmark that you can always count on for parking when you’re seeing a movie or stocking up on eyebrow gel at Sephora. I would never have expected that this (let’s just call it what it is) mall would be the venue for one of the most iconic link-ups in modern history—yet that’s exactly what happened last night, as Taylor Swift and Beyoncé were photographed together at the premiere of Swift’s The Eras Tour concert film.
As if the sheer fact of these two musical phenoms hanging out weren’t enough, Swift also posted an extremely loving Instagram dedicated to Beyoncé, the caption for which read, in part: “She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale.”

Personally, I’m more of a Beyhive member than a Swift stan (don’t come for me, Swifties, I like her too! I just haven’t committed all the lyrics from her songs to memory the way I have with Renaissance!), but there’s something extremely endearing about even a pop star of Swift’s stature elegantly geeking out over sharing space with Beyoncé. I mean, at the risk of deifying an actual, mortal woman...how would that go? How would you act? Would you remember to turn words into sentences? I feel like I’d just be crying the entire time, and TBH, I’m impressed with Swift’s composure.
