Taylor Swift inspires the pre-teen in us all. From her penchant for glitter and friendship bracelets to her clever lyrics, the pop star knows how to pull at the heartstrings of the 13-year-old that lives within—and last night, she stepped out with the holiday manicure to match that nostalgia.

For the New York premiere of Poor Things, Swift embraced the spirit of the season, coupling polished ringlets with a chic and shimmering manicure featuring alternating red and green nails.

Along with a side-swept bang and signatures like a feline flick of liner and a lip painted crimson, Swift opted for soft curls that teamed with a black coat—by British designer Charlotte Simone, and trimmed in faux Mongolian fur—and peep-toe heels for an Old Hollywood look infused with modern details. And to accompany a red pedicure, Swift chose a candied mani, the better to clutch her Naeem Khan zodiac clutch and remind onlookers that fashion and beauty should, like all things, be fun.

Considering that Swift was just named Time’s Person of the Year, it’s safe to say her influence is both acknowledged and fact. So whether your inner 13-year-old identifies as a cool girl or an underdog, take another cue from Swift and wear your adoration of the season on your sleeve—or your nails.
