What does ‘Toasty Makeup’ look like?
Over on TikTok, toasty makeup is this season’s glam du jour. Using a colorimetry of brown, copper and orange tones, this beauty makeover is inspired by the gourmand shades of a toasted bread and caramel. The "toasted" effect from this tonal uniformity instantly brings a soft warmth to the face, without appearing artificial.
The result? A harmony of velvety browns and dark roast honey tones. The complexion is light and dewy, with light bases that let the skin breathe—consider applying your base with your fingers to really melt it in. The bronzy effect comes from the added sculpting touches after.
On the cheekbones, a peach or apricot blush diffuses a feel of radiance, giving the illusion of a summer freshness, with a smattering of sunburn-style blush across the bridge of the nose.
