Manhattan-born Ulla Johnson and French beauty brand Sisley Paris are taking their relationship to the next level. For a handful of years, the two have worked together to create subtle but stirring beauty looks for Johnson’s runway shows. Today, the duo is announcing a limited-edition bag made in honor of their relationship.
“Our love of plants and quality unite us,” says Sisley’s global vice president Christine d’Ornano. Designer Ulla Johnson agrees, adding, “We are also both in the business of empowering those who engage in our world, be that in beauty or fashion.”
The feelings of admiration and synergy between the two brands have created a symbiosis that goes beyond the runway too. That’s where the idea for this limited-edition collaboration—which brings together some of both brands’ most popular products—was born. From Ulla Johnson, it’s a limited-edition Adria bag in a neutral shade of caramel leather. Sisley’s part is filling said bag with the duo’s favorite skin necessities, which are typically used backstage to prep models’ skin preshow. “I can’t live without the Black Rose Cream Mask,” Johnson says. “I use it a few times weekly. The scent is heaven, and it leaves my skin feeling glowy and healthy.”
For d’Ornano, the versatility of the Adria bag is what makes it such a showstopper. “It is the perfect mix of originality and ease of use, both feminine and practical at the same time. You can wear it as a clutch in the evening or with the strap during the day. It’s so versatile but understated too.”
