Relive the Upsets, Sweat, and Action of the U.S. Open

Vogue photographer Nils Ericson spent the past two weeks in and around Arthur Ashe Stadium, capturing all the upsets, sweat, and neon colors of this year’s U.S. Open. Ericson has been going to the Open for the past 10 years as a spectator, but this was his first time photographing the event. “When shooting the U.S. Open, you feel the moments more than seeing it in a way. You’re narrowing your field of vision in order to find the shots, which allows all your other senses to really come alive,” he told Vogue.com. “The emotion of the crowd, the clapping, the smells are all brought to life in a way that I had not experienced when just watching in the past.”
