OFFICIAL PROMOTION RULES (the “Official Rules”)

CONSUMER DISCLOSURE — YOU HAVE NOT YET WON

By entering this Competition, entrants accept and agree to be bound by these Official Rules. Any violation of the Official Rules may, at Sponsor’s discretion, result in disqualification. All decisions of the judges regarding this Competition are final and binding in all respects.

  1. GENERAL. These terms and conditions (which we will refer to as the “Specific Terms”) will govern the Vogue Business Talent Competition 2025 (the “Competition”). These Specific Terms and the General Terms (available here: General Terms and Conditions — The Condé Nast Publications Ltd) shall govern the Competition and in the event of any contradiction between the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. Capitalised words and expressions used but not defined herein these Specific Terms shall have the meaning given to them in the General Terms.
  2. SPONSOR. The Condé Nast Publications Limited (“Condé Nast”) is a company registered in England and Wales with company number 00226900 and with a registered office at 1-11 John Adam Street, London WC2N 6HT. Condé Nast is responsible for the operation of the Giveaway (the “Sponsor” or “Promoter”).
  3. PROMOTION PERIOD. Competition begins 9am, BST, 12 May 2025 and closes on 26 May at 5pm, BST, by which all entries must be received (“Competition Period”).
  4. ELIGIBILITY. This Competition is only open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least 18 years old and who have the right to work in the UK. The award of the Prize is conditional upon the winner providing proof of such right to work in the UK, such as a valid passport or visa. The winner must be able to complete a six-week internship at Vogue Business at a time to be agreed with the Vogue Business team within 12 months of the winner being announced. Entrants must not previously have been published in a national newspaper or a magazine. The Sponsor will not accept competition entries that are: (a) automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to generative AI (“GenAI”) such as chatbots or similar software applications); (b) completed by third parties or in bulk; (c) illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with; (d) photocopies and not originals; or (e) incomplete.
  5. HOW TO ENTER. Visit https://voguebusinesstalentcontest.awardsplatform.com and submit an 800 to 1,000-word article and two story pitches under 100 words each by the close of the Competition Period. The article and pitches must be in the English language, the entrant’s original creation, previously unpublished and must not include the entrant’s name or any other personal details. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or for a chance to win this Competition. A purchase will not improve chances of winning. Internet access is required. Limit: no more than one entry per person and one entry per email address during the Competition Period. Entries cannot be returned and Condé Nast or the judges are not able to provide individual feedback.
  6. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION. All qualifying entrants will be placed in a free competition. Winner selection will be conducted by a judging panel of eight to 10 industry figures selected by Vogue Business after the Competition Period ends from all eligible entries by 26 May 2025. Entries will be assessed on the following criteria: originality, research, writing quality and style (not including spelling and grammar), and suitability and relevance to the Vogue Business audience. The decision of the panel of judges will be final. Any potential winner will be notified by email and/or telephone. If a potential winner: (i) cannot be contacted; (ii) does not respond within 72 hours from the date the Sponsor first tries to notify them; (iii) refuses the prize; and/or (iv) the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, such potential winner forfeits all rights to win the Promotion or receive the prize, then an alternate potential winner may be selected. Upon contacting a potential winner and determining that they have met all eligibility requirements of the Competition, such individual will be declared a “winner” of the Competition. If in the sole opinion of the Promoter, none of the entries (including that of the winner) are of a sufficiently high standard to merit the winner’s prize or the runner-up prizes, such prizes shall not be awarded.
  7. PRIZE DESCRIPTION. There will be one (1) winner and (2) two runners up. The winner will receive six months mentorship from Elektra Kotsoni, deputy director of Vogue Business and Vogue Runway and will complete a paid, six-week internship at Vogue Business. The two runners up will each receive (6) six months mentorship from a member of the Vogue Business team. The internship can be remote from the UK or in-office, depending on the circumstances of the individual and their ability to travel to London. Condé Nast can provide computer equipment for the duration of the internship, whether remote or in-office. The internship will be conditional upon the winner entering into a separate fixed-term contract, which will set out in detail the terms of the relationship with Condé Nast during the internship. The intern will be paid the London Living Wage. The internship start date is to be agreed upon between the winner and the editorial team, subject to availability. Other than those specified above, the Promoter shall not be liable for any costs or expenses arising out of or in any way connected with the prize.
