Both Laurel Woloszyn and Nazgol Fearnow are longstanding Vogue Club members: If you’ve attended our events, there’s a good chance you’ll recognize them. But even though Laurel and Nazgol have known each other professionally since 2022, it’s their Vogue Club membership that brought them closer together. The pair have attended six Vogue Club events—including the recent Forces of Fashion in New York. Read a full account of their day below.

Where are you from?

LW: I m from New York, and currently live in Miami.

NF: I live in Maryland.

What do you do?

LW: I partner with brands on marketing and affiliate marketing strategies.

NF: I also work with brands on marketing strategy—although separately from Laurel.

How long have you been a Vogue Club member?

LW: I accompanied Nazgol to Club’s Met Gala party in 2022, and was convinced to join Club shortly after. How could I not? It was such a fun time, and Club is filled with fabulous members!

NF: I’m an OG Club member—in fact, a founding member! I started attending Vogue events in 2019 (Forces of Fashion, actually)—and joined Vogue Club in February 2022.

You attended Forces of Fashion in New York—tell us what you were most excited for.

LW: Attending the Write the Review session with the Vogue Runway team—and hearing from Victoria Beckham on her beauty and fashion lines. (I am a big fan of both!)

NF: I was really looking forward to the Victoria Beckham and Anna Wintour conversation—and seeing that closet again!

What was it like being at Vogue HQ?

LW: This was my first time—and it did not disappoint! It s a stunning space. Between the views of New York City and the layout of the actual working spaces, I felt very inspired to be my best fashion self there.

NF: I had visited during previous Forces of Fashion and Vogue Club events—and how lucky am I that this was my fourth visit? I love being surrounded by beautifully designed spaces, and could feel a buzzing energy in the building as soon as I walked in. Plus: It’s very inspiring to be surrounded by so many stylish people!

What did you wear?

LW: I wore a Proenza Schouler red leather maxi dress with Sarah Flint sandals and a gold choker, and I carried a Bottega Veneta clutch.

NF: My dress and jacket were Isabel Marant, and the boots, belt, and necklace were Chloé—and I carried a Chloé Aby lock bag (which I also brought with me to Forces of Fashion in 2019).

Did you meet any of the Vogue team?

LW: I loved my conversations with the Runway team during the morning’s writing session, as well as with Virginia Smith. We were lucky enough to have our picture taken by Hunter Abrams, too!

NF: We joined Write the Review, which was led by Nicole Phelps and other amazing Vogue Runway team members, and attended Show and Tell with Willow Lindley, Tabitha Simmons, and Virginia Smith. I also had the opportunity to speak with Anna Wintour for a few minutes, which was a highlight.

What about Vogue Club members?

LW: It s always a highlight to see other Club members at events. We saw a few familiar faces, and made many new friends throughout the day. Two highlights: Dawn, whose consulting firm works with indigenous people—she was also wearing head-to-toe indigenous brands. It was also fabulous to see Timothy again (and congrats to him for winning the workshop with his Prada Spring 2025 review)!

NF: The events are always so impactful; everyone bonds—a testament to how fashion brings people together.

What were standout moments from the day?

LW: Nicki Minaj was amazing—she spoke from the heart and was dropping truth bombs and life lessons left and right. She was so much fun, and I found myself feeling emotional more than once during her panel: always the mark of a good discussion.

NF: I loved Victoria Beckham talking about how various mentors inspired and encouraged her—mentors such as Marc Jacobs, who told her: “As long as the product and the quality is good, no one can ever say it is rubbish.” I love this advice for someone trying to break into the fashion world: Be you, make a great product—whatever it is—and stick with it.

What was your biggest takeaway from the day?

LW: At one point, Simon Porte Jacquemus mentioned that in his early fashion years, he “felt so far away from fashion.” When he said that, I realized that what Forces of Fashion and Vogue Club are doing is making it easier for anyone to feel closer to fashion s epicenter—and this was something that I think was truly felt during the entire event.

NF: I loved hearing from Jean Paul Gaultier—and was struck by how funny and down to earth he is (while still pushing fashion into new directions throughout his illustrious career). His enthusiasm and delight in many ordinary things was refreshing. Hearing him discuss his creative take on fashion—including mixing corsets into clothing, as he did famously for Madonna—really piqued my interest.

You attended Vogue Club’s Forces of Fashion after-party…. Tell us about your night!

LW: I loved getting dressed up one more time for the final session of the day (after a bite and a drink at Nine Orchard, of course!)

NF: As always, we had a fun and fashionable evening out—the Edition was the perfect backdrop to the day s event. Lights from Times Square illuminated the moody bar area as guests mingled and received outfit illustrations from Rebecca—something that I can report is a favorite amongst Club members!

Who did you see?

LW: We saw old friends like Mano, Arpana, and Colleen, while making many new friends.

What did you wear?

LW: Nazgol s Forces of Fashion outfit was too good not to wear out again. I did a quick outfit change (Marina Moscone slip dress under a belted suit jacket). We loved Rebecca s sketch of our looks—the perfect parting gift after a fabulously fashionable event.
