It will surprise no one that the Vogue editors are seasoned experts when it comes to compiling their new season wardrobes. The process has a familiar rhythm to it: the packing away of summer tank tops and minidresses, the unearthing of winter coats, and, of course, the careful selection of new season pieces that will inject life into your old favorites.
This week, team Vogue put these skills to the test at an exclusive activation at the Matches Townhouse, where each editor curated their own personalized selection of fall 2023 hero buys. Customers were able to shop the rails and get invaluable styling tips and tricks from the editors themselves. As always, each editor brought their own unique spin: you had deputy director of the global fashion network, Laura Ingham, who has a penchant for oversized tailoring, courtesy of The Row, and classic polished accessories from Bottega Veneta, while fashion editor, Eniola Dare, had her eye on the punk-inspired pleats of Chopova Lowena and Rick Owens’s unexpected cut-outs. That’s not to mention Naomi Smart’s floor-grazing maxi dresses, Jessica Gerardi’s skirt suits, and Joy Montgomery’s autumnal take on tie-dye.
If you’re experiencing a bit of FOMO, worry not, because we’ve got the editors’s Matches fall 2023 wish lists right here for you to peruse. Begone outfit indecision, hello autumn dressing success.
