Chloe Schama is a senior editor at American Vogue, based in New York, where she covers a little bit of all things culture, and enjoys dipping her toes in the culture of wellness. She can’t stand a sauna, but loves a swim, and had a line item on her early-20s budget that read “manicures.” Gardening is her main wellness activity at the moment.
Jessica Diner is Vogue’s Global Beauty Wellness Director which, by definition, means that reviewing spas is delightfully part of the day job—but a job she takes very seriously. Jessica’s favored treatments are ones that combine practices: fusing ancient rituals with the latest technology for major RnR but also, most importantly, maximum results. Very much an aquatic Cancerian in mind and body, you will always find her drawn to a body of water, be that wild swimming, hot tubs, a tepidarium or a plunge pool.
Florence O’Connor is the associate content manager for Vogue.com. When she isn’t building stories or managing budgets, Florence enjoys writing about all things lifestyle, wellness and weddings. Although she is based out of the New York office, Florence will take any chance she can get to run home to England and sneak a stay at a countryside hotel – a hot tub in the middle of a field is her happy place!

Margaux Anbouba is American Vogue s senior beauty and wellness editor. She still remembers the first time she sat down in a dermatologist s office in 5th grade and has been curious about all things skincare, body, and wellness, since. She s down to try anything—and loves to be scrubbed within an inch of her life at the local K-Spa just as much as a caviar facial and bathing in red wine (yes, all of those are real treatments she s tried at spas).
Hannah Coates, British Vogue’s beauty and wellness editor, has seen it all when it comes to weird and wacky wellness trends. With a passion for sharing easy and efficacious lifestyle amends—think cold plunges rather than jade eggs—when it comes to spas, she champions treatments and destinations that marry deep relaxation with mental, physical and soulful results, and particularly those rooted in authenticity and the natural world.
Alessandra Codinha is a Los Angeles based writer and editor with a background in fashion, cultural criticism, and luxury hospitality, who realized a few years into a new freelance career that she could spend most of it traveling and writing about it (including for her recommendation-focused monthly Substack newsletter, Here We Go), and hasn’t looked back since. She tends to prefer those spas and wellness experiences that best incorporate nature, thinks absolutely everyone would benefit from breathwork, and has experienced enough truly great and really awful sound baths to come out absolutely neutral on the topic.
Garbiñe Continente is lifestyle editor at Vogue Spain, focused on travel, interiors, hotels, and restaurants. Always looking for new spots, soulful projects are the ones which truly capture her attention. She favors hotel spas located in unique environments—the seaside is always a plus— and whose services and treatments provide an escape from the hectic pace of everyday life.
Liam Hess is American Vogue’s living editor, overseeing coverage of homes, travel, food, design, and weddings remotely from London. In terms of travel, he can mostly be found exploring southern Italy or heading somewhere deep in nature, whether Botswana safaris or train rides through the Malaysian jungle. And when it comes to spas, he’ll never turn down a deep tissue massage—no pain, no gain.
Mattie Kahn is a writer based in New York, covering culture, politics, wellness, and developments in exfoliation. She loves spas, but hates manicures. She is generous enough to share that one of the best massages in New York can be found at Body Mechanics in Herald Square, which trades in "orthopedic massages." The vibe is more strip mall PT office than Relais Châteaux. Somehow, it s perfect.
Christina Liao is a freelance writer primarily focused on travel. She is particularly drawn to East and Southeast Asia along with Western European countries such as France and Italy, but has traveled around the world in search of the world s finest hotels and experiences. When it comes to spas and wellness centers she prefers ones that go beyond the oft-seen, humdrum treatments—bonus points for those that incorporate local ingredients and traditions; top awards if they address mental and emotional health.
Lisa Wong Macabasco is a senior digital line editor at Vogue who also covers arts and culture and has traveled widely in the US, Asia, and Europe. A longtime runner and yoga enthusiast, she is learning to like massages.
Ana Morales is beauty editor at Vogue Spain, focused on wellness and mental health (other obsessions include healthy hair and the new hair spas around the world). She has a love for exploring new places with a holistic philosophy intended to enhance body and soul and where we can learn new habits to improve our daily routine in order to live better and longer (yes, longevity is a huge topic for her too).
Lauren Murdoch-Smith is British Vogue s Senior Beauty Wellness Editor and has been with Vogue for almost 10 years. When it comes to discovering the best spas and wellness destinations, she s on the lookout for subtle details that set them apart from the norm, holistic approaches, extraordinary expert residencies and destinations that feel off grid for a complete immersive experience.
Christina Pérez is a freelance writer exploring the intersection of travel, design, and wellbeing. As a longtime student of philosophy and the metaphysical, her favorite treatments are often those that take a holistic, mind-body approach. Nothing is too out-there for her to try at least once—and if ancient traditions, local plants, and/or a shamanic healer are involved, all the better.
Elise Taylor is a senior writer at Vogue who covers interiors and travel. She s always down for adventure—whether that means visiting a spa in far flung locales or with boundary-pushing treatments. She s particularly fascinated with wellness and mental health clinics.
