This past Saturday, stars flocked to Los Angeles for the 2025 Academy Museum Gala. Zoë Kravitz was among the glamorous celebrities walking the blue carpet in front of the Renzo Piano–designed Academy Museum, wearing a copper satin Saint Laurent dress by Anthony Vaccarello. The ruffles? Stunning. The toasted, monochromatic glam? Also stunning. But the true star of the show? That would be Kravitz’s new ’do.
Kravitz is no stranger to short haircuts—she’s had everything from an ultra-short platinum pixie in 2019 to a gamine cut inspired by Audrey Hepburn in 2022. For her latest chop, Kravitz chose to go with 2025’s hottest haircut—yes, the bob—but this time with a cool, very her twist.
Hairstylist Nikki Nelms brought the length right up to right below Kravitz’s earlobe, with the ends flipped in a vintage-esque ’do. When paired with micro-bangs (a somewhat signature look of Kravitz’s), the typically sweet flipped bob suddenly has an edge. It’s not an Italian bob, sort of a razored bob, has part of a kick bob, but most importantly, completely Kravitz.
