Like many of us, Yara Flinn has been thinking about the state of the world. “I was feeling a lot of weight like a lot of people are this season,” said Flinn. “When I begin making my collections, I usually start with the fabrics, and this season I found myself drawn to these plaids. And once I began to reflect on it, it felt like I was tapping into my teenage self.” The angst that Flinn was feeling was reflected in her ’90s-inspired collection full of plaid flannels, dresses, indigo jeans, and sporty tracksuits.
While many of the pieces from this collection seemed basic and simple at first glance, upon closer look, you see little touches like smock details on the shoulders and waist for some extra cinching. All the clothes use premium fabrics including 100% organic cotton, so those who buy them can expect their items to last until, like Flinn, they’re ready to look back on their younger selves.
