What does a Nili Lotan cowboy look like? Anyone familiar with Lotan’s house codes probably won’t be surprised to see pinstriped vests, glam rock silk ruffled blouses, cashmere argyle sweaters, and nylon bomber jackets in her Westernwear mix.

Lotan does not design by season or by theme. “I design every week and then, at one point, I stop and say, ‘OK, this is a collection. Let’s move on,’” she explained. Her influences (military uniforms, glam rockers, and Western Americana) are perennial, though their role in any given season can wax and wane.

Fall 2026 had a distinct Western flavor, thanks in large part to the accessories. Don’t expect to be hit over the head with cowboy hats, though. A belt with a large silver buckle served as a throughline for much of the offering. “To me, this explains all the collection because it’s Western, but it’s very modern,” said Lotan. Elsewhere in the offering, she nodded to chaps with her barrel-legged silhouette, which appeared in denim and suede.

Denim loomed large over the collection. Though she only launched this arm of her business in 2020, Lotan has become the cool New York woman’s one-stop shop for jeans. Now, she’s betting big, having just launched a denim-only storefront. This season, alongside her chaps, she showed ultra-low-slung jeans, chambray shirting, and her beloved Tribeca jeans in new washes. These will fly off the shelves in the Wild West Village.
