Safari Sophisticate was the theme of Dsquared² s Resort collection. The Caten brothers combined quintessential explorer themes with fit and flare, fifties-inspired shapes on pieces like a belted A-line shirtdress cut from forest-green cotton drill, slim cargo-pocket pencil skirts, and walking shorts. Full, knee-length skirts were shown in multiple ways—the most noteworthy iteration came in soft bubble-gum pink leather, while others featured feminine scalloped hemlines or tribal-print silks. A fun baboon motif and trompe l oeil basket weave stood out. Per usual, styling flourishes like tall Panama hats, boyish neckties, and kicky stiletto pumps with bow details helped relay the message. For evening, an off-the-shoulder black column gown with a built-in bustier and hourglass-enhancing silhouette looked like just the thing for making both a glamorous entrance and exit.
