Luisa Beccaria and her daughter Lucilla have traded their longtime atelier for a sunlit loft in the historic heart of Milan, where light pours through tall windows and the city’s tangle of narrow streets unfurls just beyond. The change of scene has clearly stirred something new; their spring collection, unveiled in the courtyard of Palazzo Bovara, radiated the freshness of a beginning. They called it Soul in Bloom, “a quest for harmony that touches not only our inner lives, but also the way we dress,” said Lucilla. “Clothes reflect who we are—and they can project positivity, renewal, and openness,” chimed in Luisa.
Faithful to their repertoire of delicate, feminine dresses, the Beccarias played more audaciously with texture this season: lace against chiffon, jacquard laced with ribbon rosettes, sheer overlays lending depth and a touch of mystery. Florals and botanicals in aqua, azure and primrose hues bloomed like watercolors in motion, while dresses carried the charm of a garden party, light as a breeze yet anchored by a richness you could almost feel between your fingertips.
For the Beccarias, fashion has never been about noise, but rather nuance. “In times like these, when the world feels unsettled, we believe fashion can nurture a gentler, less peremptory and more ethical vision of tomorrow,” they said, “where style carries soul, and what we wear becomes a manifesto for harmony and hope.”
