Adam Lippes Hosted a Chic Dinner Celebrating 10 Years of His Namesake Label

On a brisk February night, in the Upper East Side staple Majorelle, Adam Lippes’ fashion friends, family, and long-time supporters gathered for an intimate dinner to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the designer’s eponymous brand.

Despite the frigid temperatures on Tuesday evening, guests convened for an hour of cocktails at the historic lobby of the Lowell Hotel, sipping on Champagne in the dimly-lit space. Clad in both archival and in-season Adam Lippes designs, attendees, including Roopal Patel, Tory Burch, Rickie de Sole, Amy Astley, Charlotte Groeneveld, and many more, greeted each other with excitement, catching up before the whirlwind of festivities that awaited them during fashion week. Lippes, who charmed guests with his wit and warmth, was visibly moved by the outpouring of support for him and his brand throughout the years. “10 years in fashion is like dog years; it feels like it’s been 70,” Lippes quipped, sipping on his glass of wine. “I ve never really given much thought to milestones, but this really feels like a milestone. I think we’ve created this incredible little jewel, and we re just about to sprinkle a lot of fairy dust on top of it.”

At 8 PM sharp, attendees were ushered to the garden area for dinner, where they were greeted by a delectable tablescape featuring an array of fresh fruits in lieu of traditional bouquets—bunches of grapes, mandarin oranges, cherries, and stems of ranunculuses here and there, were thoughtfully curated by designer Carlos Mota inspired by Dutch Old Masters. Glasses of Robert Mondavi wine complemented the rich Majorelle dishes, and guests found themselves torn between the perfectly seared branzino and succulent roast chicken, each option equally enticing and equally delicious.

To end the memorable night, Lippes made sure to personally thank each guest in attendance for their unwavering support. And in a nod to tradition, attendees were presented with a bouquet of fresh blooms placed in signature Adam Lippes bags to take home—a gesture that echoed Lippes’ desire for them to enjoy the beauty of the evening long after it had ended.
