At a Spectacular Skate Park, Vans Announced its OTW Collection at Paris Men s Fashion Week

Last night, Parisians walking on the banks of the Seine River witnessed an extraordinary scene as a skate park emerged at Pont Alexandre III. Around 600 revelers gathered to witness the fashion-filled goings-on: Vans grand event during Paris Men s Fashion Week, where the brand announced its newest premium collection; OTW by Vans. For the announcement, OTW by Vans partnered with Unitedfront (a multidisciplinary creative agency) PLAYLAB, INC. (the Los Angeles-based creative studio), and long-time partner California Skateparks to create the ephemeral ramp.
Among the guests present were Lourdes Leon, Fai Khadra, Amelia Gray, and Haider Ackermann, who were treated to wine, beer, and cocktails while they eagerly watched Van’s skateboarders Lizzie Armanto, Zion Wright, Rowan Zorilla, Beatrice Domond, Etienne Gagne, and Mami Tezuka. All the while, Onyx Collective played the music and the Eiffel Tower sparkled in the background.
"This is my first time in Paris, so it s a little overwhelming," Domond expressed. "I m more looking at monuments and museums, I went to the Eiffel Tower. I’m naturally looking at people s shoes all of the time, people are very well-dressed here!" She noted.
Armanto was also in awe; "Skating right next to the river with the Eiffel Tower in the background is unforgettable. Seeing Vans step up with events like this is really cool as a rider, I feel like they are pushing themselves in different ways, and I feel like I can relate to that a lot—with skating, you are always pushing yourself to do different things."
Shortly after 9 PM, the crowd, including Evan Mock, gathered closer together as the talented 28-year-old English singer, King Krule, began his set. "It s like the whole city is dressed up!" remarked Mami Tezuka, casting her eyes upon the fashion-forward guests who had assembled for the event.
