Dappers and Dandies Gathered to Celebrate the Opening of Goodman’s Bar

Last night, dappers and dandies gathered at—where else?—Bergdorf Goodman’s Men Store. Jazz and chatter filled the legendary shop as editors, models, and men-about-town toasted the opening of Goodman’s Bar.
Perched on the second floor, the watering hole mimics the international sophistication that surrounds it. The brass and marble gleamed as Champagne flowed. A smoky scene of Central Park unfolds on custom De Gournay wallpaper. Bruce Pask, Linda Fargo, Eric Rutherford, and Ezra J. William moved among the buzzy crowd.
Goodman’s Bar is the collaboration between the in-house design team, Chef Austin Johnson, and master sommelier Dustin Wilson.
“We made use of all our experiences and talents,” Wilson explained over the roar.
Darcy Penick, President of Bergdorf Goodman, smiled as she surveyed the scene. “It took a year to get it right.”
If last night’s party was any indication, they certainly did.
