Emmy Winner Britt Lower Breaks Fashion Rules at the 2025 Emmys

Severance star Britt Lower earned heaps of praise—the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the 2025 Emmys—for her role as Helly R., but the actor’s fashion sense is just as high-octane. The actor, whose stylist Rose Forde has described her look as a hybrid of Brooklyn cool and Audrey Hepburn sophistication, has embraced established brands and young designers alike, rocking everything from Loewe to Shushu/tong and Conner Ives.
When it came to the 2025 Emmys, Lower was looking for “something with elegance and edge that moves easily.” The actor turned to Calvin Klein Collection’s Veronica Leoni for her custom look. “My stylist and I worked really closely with Veronica, the creative director, to create a dress in which I could feel myself,” Lower says. “I feel so at ease when wearing it.”
While redheads are often advised against wearing hues too similar to their standout hair, Lower embraced the bold color. She chose a duchess silk copper bateau-neck dress with a deep open back—a silhouette similar to one that walked the runway just the day before. (The dress was complete with crushed pleats. She and makeup artist Zoe Taylor also doubled down on the look with a matching burnt orange eyeshadow.)
“It’s a custom dress from Calvin Klein Collection that has this super cool silk crushed effect that was created by them pinning irregular folds while it was on me, and then they compressed it in this giant steam crusher,” she explains. “I loved the effect so much, we crushed it twice. It’s like experiencing a masterpiece come to life.”
