Stars Are Opting for Stealthy-Chic Bags This Summer

Call it the era of stealthy-chic dressing: Celebrities are sporting bags that have extremely minimalist finishings—but maximalist price tags.

Over the past few months, we’ve seen stars rock discrete handbags that seamlessly blend into their ensemble—but undeniably add a polished factor to it, too. On multiple occasions, for instance, Kendall Jenner has sported a luxurious leather tote bag from The Row; its boxy structure and supple leather are the perfect combination for everyday use and have elevated her more casual, off-duty outfits. The same goes for Kaia Gerber and her love for Celine’s tiny shoulder bags: The ’90s styles add just the right amount of shape to her otherwise classic T-shirt-and-jean pairings.

When stars have embraced bags with identifiable designer monograms on them, it’s been a far cry from the hard-to-miss lettering we saw on accessories during 2016’s logomania craze. It’s safe to say, then, that the new crop of bags includes timeless options that will never go out of style—yet also feature unique silhouettes and details that make them worth the investment.
