An International Set of Editors Gathered During Paris Fashion Week for a Cocktail Party

Between deadlines and the 24-hour fashion-and-culture news cycle, editors are hard-pressed for time. But on Sunday afternoon—as Paris Fashion Week moved ahead with full steam—Condé Nast editors across all titles carved out a bit of time to convene for a cocktail party at the resplendent Hôtel de Crillon at the invitation of Condé Nast’s global CEO Roger Lynch and board chairman Jonathan Newhouse.

As guests gathered in the beautiful salons overlooking the Place de la Concorde, the atmosphere was joyfully informal; Angelica Cheung, Edward Enninful, and Emanuele Farneti (editors in chief of Chinese Vogue, British Vogue, and Italian Vogue, respectively) could be seen snapping selfies. But very important themes such as sustainability and inclusivity were nevertheless discussed, with Lynch giving a speech explaining that the many challenges that lie ahead can only be overcome by working together at an international level.

The event, which takes place twice a year in Paris, is a coming-together that serves to reinforce Condé Nast’s goals for international collaboration. Guests sipped Champange, wishing “happy Fashion Week” to one another before heading out to their next appointments—but they would all likely reconvene somewhere in the front row very soon.
