Halsey Serenaded Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Donna Karan and More at DKNY’s 30th Birthday Bash

DKNY brought the fashion set to Brooklyn last night for a party to end them all. The occasion celebrated the American fashion house’s 30th birthday. Halsey, Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Ashley Benson, Winnie Harlow, Soo Joo Park, and Sydney Sweeney all joined founder Donna Karan to celebrate.
The label took over the waterfront St. Ann’s Warehouse for the night, against a picturesque backdrop of the Brooklyn bridge and the sweeping Manhattan skyline. Upon entering the warehouse, partygoers were offered their choice of neat Johnnie Walker or Don Julio paloma cocktails. Drinks in hand, attendees made their way toward the dance floor, where DJ duo The Martinez Brothers inspired the fashionable crowd to shimmy and shake along to the music.
One could say that the party didn’t truly start until Jenner and Karan arrived. After chatting with the DKNY founder and taking a few photos together, Jenner, who wore a fitted black blazer dress, joined Suki Waterhouse and the rest of her friends for a few cocktails and dancing. Before long, The Martinez Brothers wrapped their set and the stage lights momentarily faded to black. As the stage was re-lit, Delevingne made her debut and took to the stage to emcee for the “performance of a lifetime” by her friend Halsey. As anyone familiar with the singer’s breathtaking vocals would know, her performance did not disappoint.
Halsey opened with her 2017 hit, “Bad at Love,” followed by “Colors,” “Alone,” and “Now Or Never.” Meanwhile, Benson and Delevingne fronted a backstage crew of fashion glitterati who enjoyed a private dance party to their friend’s tunes. “Five years ago, you all would have been too cool to even talk to me,” Halsey joked to the warehouse full of fashion notables who had turned out for her performance. As she finished her set and bade the audience goodbye, cheers and applause followed her offstage. Just as everyone began to make their way back to the bar—or the balmy nighttime air–confetti rained down from the rafters above.
