Friends of The CFDA and Allison Sarofim Hosted a Springtime Cocktail Party

On Thursday evening in downtown Manhattan, members and friends of the CFDA gathered at the home of founding friend Allison Sarofim for a cocktail party celebrating fashion, community, and the coming of spring.
Friends of the CFDA was established by Thom Browne when he assumed the role of chairman back in 2023. “It was the idea of our chairman of the board, but obviously, he stole it from his partner Andrew Bolton,” Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, teased. Since then, members of the intimate collective have provided support to the members and have benefited several programs for the CFDA. “[Friends of the CFDA] is really about building community, and how do you build community? By making friends, connecting with friends that you have already, and connecting with friends you haven t seen in a while.”
Friends, including Lauren Levison, Martha Stewart, Cathy Ho Lee, Daniella Pierson, and many others, as well as designers like Andrew Kwon, Stacey Bendet, and Renna Brown-Taher enjoyed rounds of pink drinks and champagne both indoors and outdoors (a little drizzle didn’t stop guests from savoring the spring weather!) and savored delectable bites from tuna tartare and wagyu skewers to macarons and other sweet treats. But the best part about being in a room full of stylish attendees? The fashion, of course. Amy Fine Collins wore head-to-toe Thom Browne, while Plum Sykes donned a chic leopard number under a leather jacket. Meanwhile, on the more minimal side, Lauren Levison sported a crisp white frock, while the hostess, Allison Sarofim, wore a sleek navy suit.
