In partnership with the Larry Chang Centre through J-FLAG, the first human rights organization in the history of Jamaica to serve the needs of the LGBT community, the creatives behind this video are aiming to raise $100,000 initially, so a property can be leased to accommodate these transgender youths, aka the Gully Queens of Kingston, Jamaica. The long-term goal is to purchase a safe haven, provide psychological support, and assist with their medical expenses and welfare. We will also aim to provide a stable income for the transgender youth by creating the Queen s fashion brand. Mentored by volunteers from our collective creative communities, it will consist of crocheted pieces and customized T-shirts from which they will receive 100% of the earnings. It will be sold at www.pumpumgyals.com.
