Michelle Yeoh, Saweetie, Renee Rapp and More Attended Gold House’s Third Annual Gold Gala
The venue for the evening was downtown Los Angeles’s historic Music Center, and the cause for celebration was Gold House’s Gold Gala, back for its third annual event. Boasting a room full of over 600 well-dressed guests, it’s not one that’s short on notable attendees, with Michelle Yeoh, Steven Yeun, Renee Rapp, and Regina King in attendance alongside a slew of other familiar faces.
As you’d expect of an event dubbed the Gold Gala and creative directed by Prabal Gurung, attendees were dressed in their very best—Saweetie, who was both honored and performed multiple songs, including an unreleased track, slipped into a second outfit before heading onstage. Just as in past years, the grand evening came together to celebrate Gold House’s annual A100 List, which highlights a range of influential Asian Pacific creatives and leaders.
Among those recognized throughout the evening were Lucy Lui, Cynthia Erivo, Padma, Bang Si-Hyuk, Karan Johar, Hoa Xuande, Valkyrae and the creator and cast of Beef, Lee Sung Jin, Steven Yeun, and Joseph Lee, and the ceremony was brimming with tearful moments as honorees were introduced by a few words from their closest collaborators.
Guests enjoyed Martell Blue Swift cocktails while they dined on a three-course South India-inspired meal as the sun set over the indoor-outdoor setup, and Gold House CEO co-founder Bing Chen led a toast to close the ceremony. That wasn’t the end of the night—The Billboard x Gold House Founders Party kicked off right after, with Steve Aoki giving a near concert-length performance and the night later erupting into a full-on karaoke session.
