Bond Street Welcomes Gigi Hadid’s Guest In Residence Boutique Just in Time for Cashmere Season

Generally speaking, autumn is New Yorkers favorite time of year. The “Goldilocks” weather isn’t too hot or too cold, and the city comes back to life now that summer has finally run its extended course. So, launching Guest In Residence s first flagship store on Bond Street couldn’t have been better timed by supermodel and founder Gigi Hadid.

To mark the milestone moment and toast the brand’s one-year anniversary, Hadid hosted a buzzy block party to fete the official opening with friends and family. Guests, including Yolanda Hadid, Taylor Hill, Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, Kevin McIntosh Jr., Lameka Fox, and Derek Blasberg, all stopped by for a preview of the space sporting their favorite 100-percent cashmere pieces.

Naturally, the flagship’s interiors emulated the brand’s cozy DNA, from the vintage decor to the dressing suites outfitted with Douglas Fir wood panels. Designed in collaboration with Yaoska Interiors, the store offers a sense of cabin calm on a street lined with wellness empires, expensive sushi, and exclusive membership clubs. The limewashed fireplace, 1950s Danish club chairs, and the debut of the brand’s limited edition pair of Sambas with Adidas were all personal touches in the boutique.

“I’m so excited to welcome everyone into our first permanent space on Bond, a historic, charming street that I feel especially close to,” Hadid explained. “My goal was to make the store feel cozy and warm, like the rustic cabins in nature I spent so much time in with my family as a child. I also wanted it to feel like walking into a really chic person’s living room. Guest In Residence pieces are inspired by those in my own closet—sweaters given to me by my parents when I first moved to New York—so the space needed to feel personal as well. My hope is that you come in and find your own future heirlooms.”

Following the store’s soirée, Hadid invited a select group to continue the celebrations at downtown hotspot Jean’s. The Noho nightlife mecca turned vibey restaurant hosted the Guest In Residence crew for cocktails and a multi-course dinner. A spread of curated starter salads was dropped at every table before the main event entrées—cheeseburgers, pesto pasta, and fresh fluke— stole the show. And, let’s not forget about the Kiki cocktail, stirred with fresh guava juice and mezcal, that lives up to its name.
