“Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” proved to be an inspiring theme for Met Gala guests, who arrived like shimmering constellations in uptown Manhattan on the First Monday in May. Amal Clooney came in a Queen Elizabeth–approved train, while Sarah Jessica Parker’s headpiece contained a Neapolitan nativity scene. Cardi B adorned her baby bump, and the rest of her body, in bejeweled Moschino.
