Images of the Week: Introducing the Met Gala Cochairs
As the world opens up again, our favorite events and activities are slowly returning. This week, the Met Gala 2021 Cochairs were announced. Billie Eilish, Timothée Chalamet, Naomi Osaka, and Amanda Gorman will be ushering in the first Met Gala since 2019 this September. Also returning that month is Broadway. Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that the theaters can 100 percent reopen September 14.
Chanel rolled out their punky Cruise 2022 show earlier this week. Designer Virginie Viard was inspired by Provence as well as French filmmaker Jean Cocteau. Vive la Lip Ring!
Kendall Jenner unveiled her new project for Vogue this week: a four-part video series on anxiety called Open Minded. In it, she speaks with experts and opens up about her own mental health.
Tomorrow is Mother’s Day, and we’ve been honoring matriarchs all week at Vogue.com with personal essays as well as accounts from new parents. Consider them reminders to call your mother figures on Sunday.
