Images of the Week: The Supreme Court Overturns Roe v. Wade 

On Friday, the Supreme Court of the United States overturned Roe v. Wade, 49 years after the historic ruling established a constitutional right to abortion. Now, almost half of the U.S. states are expected to make terminating a pregnancy either illegal or highly inaccessible. President Joe Biden called it “the realization of extreme ideology.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge unveiled a new official portrait this week, which will live in the University of Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum. Their first portrait together, the artwork was painted by Jamie Coreth, and showcases Kate Middleton wearing a dress by The Vampire’s Wife. 

It’s men’s fashion week in Paris. Louis Vuitton celebrated Virgil Abloh’s legacy with a yellow brick road runway, a marching band, and a procession of flag-wavers. It was the first show without any input from the designer, who died last November of cancer. 

Harry Styles and Gucci have been long-term collaborators, but now they’re making things official with a capsule co-designed by Alessandro Michele and the singer. It’s called Ha Ha Ha, which handily combines their initials, and sets the playful tone of the collection. The clothes will be available in stores this October. 

Finally, Kim Kardashian launched her new skincare line this week, Skkn by Kim. It’s a reimagined beauty line from the star, who previously ran KKW Beauty, with a focus on core basics.
