“Made for Frolicking”: Kacey Musgraves and Reformation Celebrated the Launch of Their Collab

On a Tuesday night in Manhattan, fashion lovers gathered on the rooftop of the Bowery Hotel to celebrate the launch of Kacey Musgraves and Reformation’s latest collaboration. Dare we say that “demure fall” is approaching, as this line surely fits the description. Guests were greeted with custom cocktails and wine offerings, as well as various hor d’oeuvres, before entering the bustle of the party. Those in attendance included the likes of Hali Borenstein, Busy Phillips, Tallulah Willis, Christian Siriano, Heidi Gardner, and more–and some were even dressed in select styles.
The collection on display could be described as “midwestern, boho chic” and truly embodied Musgraves herself. From denim sets to pastoral dresses, these pieces will be staples in anyone’s fall wardrobe. Even more, the space was decked out with floral arrangements, rustic decor, and even a horse made of grass in the middle of the action.
Aside from admiring the clothes from the collab, there was no shortage of activities for everyone to take part in. From flash tattoos on the terrace to aura readings in the rooftop alcove (spoiler: my aura was quite accurate, I might say), it was truly a night filled with fun and fashion.
Once Musgraves arrived (backed by her own music), guests gathered to indulge in a toast she was giving to honor the collection; she said the process was similar to making an album! Everyone gushed over how clear it was that these pieces were so special to her, and the eagerness to buy everything was palpable.
As the night came to a close, cake was passed around as people danced to music by Isabella Massenent, while getting a closer look at the clothes. By the way: the 17-style edit is now available in Reformation stores globally–just in time for the changing of the seasons.
