Kaia Gerber Fêtes Her New Zara Collection at Paris Fashion Week

You might not find Kaia Gerber on the runway this season, but that doesn’t mean the supermodel skipped out on Paris Fashion Week. In honor of her latest collaboration with Zara, Gerber hosted an elegant house party in the heart of Paris. Once the home of remembered Japanese designer Kenzo Takada, the evening’s east meets west setting couldn’t have been more magical and fitting for the California native.

From the bamboo-lined terrace outfitted with a Koi pond to the inviting living room complete with a French daybed and two-story projector, the 14,000-square-foot residence was one of a kind. Of course, movie clips, including Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom (one of Gerber’s favorite movies), were screened throughout the soirée. Strokes of Geber were seamlessly weaved into the evening’s aesthetic like a bedroom turned library showcasing all of her must-reads. Emily Ratajkowski’s My Body and Brit Bennet’s Vanishing Half were a few of the titles on display.

The evening’s vibe mimicked Gerber’s inspiration for the Kaia x Zara collaboration. “I wanted to collection to feel really authentic,” Gerber explained. “Pieces that I would wear and could be inclusive to everyone.”

Friends and fashion’s finest, including Karlie Kloss, Eve Jobs, Michel Gaubert, Eva Chen, Remo Ruffini, Nora Attal, Emmanuelle Alt, Rianne Van Rompaey, Karl Templer, Guido Palau, and Abby Champion, joined Gerber alongside her co-host and Zara chair, Marta Ortega.

Between spicy margarita and Moscow mules, highly acclaimed chef Cyril Lignac served specialty dishes from the open kitchen all night long. Some highlights include a refreshing tomato and watermelon salad and a fresh catch carpaccio.

Enjoying cocktails in the sunken, outdoor dining room, Gerber’s friends showed up in full Kaia x Zara looks like the low-back silk slip dress, knit turtleneck tank dress, and cut-out leather skirt paired with a matching top. Naturally, Gerber looked the model-off-duty part in a black suit set with a dainty bralette. “What I love about Parisian style is that it’s laid back and understated but still very chic,” Gerber smiled. “We really tried to emanate that in the collection.”
