This Was the Party to Be at Last Night—Bella, Gigi, and Kendall Agreed
When you walked into Decimo, the opulent 10th-floor bar and restaurant of the Brutalist building that houses the new Standard London, a quick glance around the room revealed Gigi and Bella Hadid, Rita Ora, Paloma Faith, and Luka Sabbat. Leigh Bowery-inspired club kids, young CSM designers, and models like Lottie Moss and Kendall Jenner mixed with the likes of Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou, and Matty Bovan. The occasion? Love magazine’s biannual London Fashion Week bash, which was hosted by Love’s editor in chief Katie Grand with YouTube and Derek Blasberg.
“There’s no other city in the world that has this mix of people,” mentioned one editor in passing. And he was right: the Perrier-Jouët Champagne- and vodka-fueled bash, always the party to be at during the London collections, had a diversity—and a playfulness, a sense of irony in style—that you rarely see in other cities. Michèle Lamy, surrounded by friends by the floor-to-ceiling windows, was in agreement. “London is this,” she said, gesturing to the colorful room.
As the night heated up, guests danced to sets by Horse Meat Disco and convened around the round tables in the center of Decimo. Model Hana Jirickova posed in Vetements on the hotel’s roof with a cigar in place of a bag. Miss Fame and Christina Aguilera also made appearances. Quite a few guests had very early flights to Milan, but—a sign of any good party—showed no signs of going home, even when the lights turned on.
