Madewell Honored the Art Production Fund with an Intimate Raoul’s Dinner

A sense of stillness was found within the bustling start to New York Fashion Week last night as Madewell welcomed a handful of guests to celebrate their fall collection with an intimate steak frites dinner. Held in the classic Soho establishment, Raoul’s, Madewell’s creative director Joyce Lee and Chloë Sevigny joined to host the best of New York’s fashion and art world in honor of the incredible work done by the Art Production Fund.
With Martinis and French 75s in hand, guests including Katie Holmes, Taylour Paige, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Stephanie Shepherd, Jamie Chung, Rainey Qualley, Tallulah Willis and Leandra Medine poured into the booths of the Parisian restaurant to tuck into the decadent menu of artichoke vinaigrette, steak naturel au poivre, and dover sole grenobloise. At each place setting, guests were also greeted with a beautiful embroidered napkin.
Casey Fremont, executive director of the Art Production Fund, spoke to the significance of the intricately designed gift. “Dominique Fung created these really special napkin designs that everyone has in their place settings this evening, which is obviously really special and we are so grateful to Dominique for doing that for us,” said Fremont. “This recognizes Madewell s generosity and support and celebrates this evening and makes it a little special for everyone.”
The napkins serve as a small token of the extraordinary work done by the female-founded non-profit organization. The fund has numerous public art installations across the country; however, Dominique Fung’s work is currently on display at the Rockefeller Center.
As champagne glasses slowly turned into red wine glasses, attendees wrapped up their conversations over cream puffs doused in chocolate sauce. And as if the night wasn’t already enough of a treat, on the way out, guests were handed fresh baguettes encased in Madewell branded sleeves – the perfect late-night snack for those heading back out to the face the Fashion Week after-parties.
