Mikey Madison Was This Awards Season’s Fashion Darling, and the 2025 Oscars Proved It

Mikey Madison is the talk of the town—and not just because she took home the Best Actress trophy at the 2025 Oscars. The 25-year-old actor took home the ultimate award thanks to her ferocious performance in Anora as Ani, a Brighton Beach dancer and sex worker who impulsively marries Vanya (Mark Eydelshteyn), the young, foolhardy son of Russian oligarchs.

While Madison—who people may also recognize from Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood, Scream, and Better Things—is a rising star in Hollywood, she’s also growing her profile in the fashion world. With help from stylist Jamie Mizrahi—who also works with the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Adele, Riley Keogh, and Jeremy Allen White—the young actor has leveled up her style game.

A Chanel darling during the Cannes Film Festival, Madison wore haute couture on the Croisette. (Consider it a good luck charm: Anora wound up taking home the Palme D’or.) Since then, she’s mastered movie star glamour in an open-back black velvet Prada dress embellished with scattered crystals, and a black drop-waist Rodarte with a tiered tulle skirt. But she’s also used her press tour to prove she isn’t afraid of taking risks, like when she wore a sexy Saint Laurent suit or a Chanel tweed short suit. Saving the best for last, she wore the Schiaparelli spring 2024 finale look (as worn on the runway by Kendall Jenner): a curve-hugging midi dress covered in red faux fingernails to the New York premiere.

Madison kicked off the race to the Oscars in a red custom Prada, and dabbled in haute couture in a black Schiaparelli skirt and bra set at the Gotham Awards. For the 2025 Golden Globes, the first of the major awards shows, she wore one of Matthieu Blazy’s last custom Bottega Veneta dress: a gold scaly strapless number. Since then, she’s continued a hot-streak of custom looks, usually in black, white, or red (with some occasional gold, for good measure). Still, even with a lean color palette, the looks are never anything short of thrilling, from her backless red Simone Rocha dress to the drapey Proenza Schouler with surprise hip cutouts.

While she embraced new fashion, the end of Madison’s awards campaign was defined by Old Hollywood glamour, from the vintage Bill Blass she wore to the Oscar nominees luncheon to the draped silvery gray Louis Vuitton at the SAG Awards. For the 2025 Oscars, Madison chose to lean into the classics in Dior Haute Couture, channeling a spring 1956 dress designed by Christian Dior himself. She celebrated her win in another Dior dress, a black ballgown with a matching stole and a red spinel Tiffany Co. necklace. In fact, as an ambassador, Madison elevated each of her looks this season with Tiffany jewelry.
