A Dockside Dance Party Carried This Year’s Millennial Pink Party Late Into the Night

Just one week after a certain presidential fundraiser rocked the Hamptons hedges by raking in a reported $12 million, siblings Larry and Toby Milstein and Justin Mikita chose to host a fundraiser of their own. The Millennial Pink Party, now in its third year, always draws a healthy representation of young Hamptonites all dressed to the nines in a range of pink hues, but this year’s fête, held at the newly opened Gurney’s Star Island Hotel in Montauk, felt more politically-charged than ever.
“The stakes are much higher this year,” Larry, wearing a blush calfskin Thom Browne varsity jacket, told Vogue as guests like Ambra Gutierrez, Joe Solmonese, and astrologist Francesca Vuillemin hit the dance floor–the latter sported a bubblegum overcoat by La Doyenne adorned with Murano glass beads. “We’re living in a time when fundamental rights are under threat, so this event provides a powerful counter-narrative about how the next-gen is standing up for the defining issues of our time.”
For the purpose of the evening, standing up means raising funds for the Human Rights Campaign and Planned Parenthood, a grand total of $50,000 to be exact.
With pink parasols and splashes of Whispering Angel rosé all around, the event’s trio of hosts exuded excitement and gratitude for all of their guests. “This really started out as a small backyard party, but it’s already evolved into something much larger than anything we could have anticipated” Toby, wearing a Rasario minidress from Nova Octo, told Vogue. “I think Millennial Pink now stands for a color of empowerment, and we’re excited to bring together this community that has not only embraced it—but championed this event as their own.”
