“I am ridiculously predictable: Ridgewood jeans from The Row, black snub-toed Repettos, and blue oxford shirts in boys size 16 from Du Pareil au Même in Paris. And my Balenciaga peacoat from the Nicolas years. I also have a camel cashmere sweater from ESK that is ‘fully fashioned’ and a big white cashmere one from Céline that I rotate between. There’s a Céline trenchcoat from Phoebe’s first collection that comes out way too often. What’s always on my shopping list? Fogal tights; Wolford Stay Ups; Vilshenko blouses; small leather goods from Choosing Keeping; and any long, white, vaguely empire dress that could have once been owned by a waitress serving steamed veggies and carrot dressing at the Source circa 1970.”

“Thom Brownecardigans, oxford shirts, and cropped wide-leg trousers: They never fail to save me when I can’t figure out what to wear. I also take my leisure suits very seriously! I just got these Helmut Lang men’s combat boots today, and I will wear them now with my cropped Dickies, which I have in every color, along with a chunky sweater like this amazing Rag Bone x Coogi! Once it warms up, I’ll wear them with a slinky slip dress with my favorite Alpha jackets.”

“Beyond the basics of good, straight blue jeans from Re/Done or an A-line miniskirt and a slim cashmere sweater from either Bella Freud or Courrèges, a really bold, sort-of-romantic coat never loses interest for me. Big fur cuffs and collar, an exaggerated hood, embroidery, sweeping hem, big shaggy silhouette, that type of thing. I find them very hard to resist!”

“Honestly, I really only shop for new versions of an old formula. For my top half: a bomber for warmer days. I always buy a new nylon from Alpha, but this year matured with a black leather from Unravel. I love a fox fur for the current temperatures and am particularly loyal to Pologeorgis. Vintage white tees (they shred to destruction within a few months). On the bottom: It’s vintage Levi’s with a very high waist that are slightly cropped. Wide-leg cropped trousers for work that—do note—are definitely different from a culotte. For shoes, it’s Chelsea boots, mules, and anything that looks like a classic lace-up Van. I’ll also put my money on that I’ll be buying some new earrings from Céline or Annelise Michelson to make the rest of the same feel a little bit different.”

“With her classic, preppy ’70s vibe, the Chloé girl is my perennial muse! Her long blonde hair, military-inspired coats, and pretty, romantic underpinnings are the epitome of daytime chic to me. I find myself wearing this combination with a little boot and day bag year after year. My morning equation is simple knowing my collection of feminine dresses and polished jackets are already hanging in my closet . . . but there’s always room for one more!”
