    Collective Design

    “**Molly Hatch’**s plate installation at last year’s Collective was one of my standouts from the fairs, so I was thrilled to hear she would be back with part two, Aspire: After Meissen, U.S.A. Hatch’s deconstruction of Meissen’s Purple Indian tableware pattern, on a group of 58 hand-thrown-and-painted porcelain plates, is a combination of everything I love.”

    “If you ever dreamed of living inside a Céline store, you’re now one step closer. Etage Projects will be exhibiting works from Thomas Poulsen (otherwise known as FOS) and Sabine Marcelis that they created for the newly redesigned Céline stores. Ranging from terra-cotta planters to candy-colored resin cubes, the pieces are quirky yet elegant.”

    Sight Unseen OFFSITE

    “I was first drawn to Fort Makers after coming across their graphic hand-painted canvas furniture pieces earlier this year. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the Brooklyn-based artist collective’s playful creations, ranging from furniture to painted stick installations and lighting. Artist and cofounder **Noah Spencer’**s new additions to his LED Line Lights series are as beautiful as they are functional.”

    “I have been eyeing CHIAOZZA’s whimsical papier-mâché plant sculptures ever since I saw them at last year’s Sight Unseen OFFSITE. I can’t wait to see their new installation of their series Paper Plants and colorful geometric wall sculptures at this year’s fair.”

    WantedDesign

    “I love the playful patterns that Ellen Van Dusen creates for her line of apparel and homewares, Dusen Dusen. For an installation at this year’s WantedDesign, Van Dusen has taken shapes from her signature graphic prints and turned them into massive cutout magnets as part of a wall mural in collaboration with Visual Magnetics, a magnetic wallpaper company. I can’t wait to interact with the pieces, which visitors to the fair are encouraged to move and rearrange.”
