A Delightfully Family-Friendly Event in Brooklyn Helped Launch the New Polo x  Feed Collection

On Tuesday evening, as temperatures were nearing 100 degrees, an intimate group gathered on the Brooklyn waterfront to celebrate the new Polo x Feed collection launch. 

The evening’s host and Founder of FEED, Lauren Bush Lauren (who gave birth to her third son this April), welcomed friends including Leandra Medine, Kai Avent de Leon, Valerie Boster, Sai De Silvia and fellow Dumbo business owner, Darlene Okpo. Everyone had children in tow who got to enjoy endless carousel rides and family-friendly live music. 

 “Dumbo is the home of the FEED Shop Cafe and the neighborhood has become part of our FEED family. It only felt natural to have an intimate family dinner in our backyard at Jane’s Carousel for the launch,” said Lauren when asked about the location for the event. 

At the alfresco family dinner, guests of all ages mingled over lobster rolls, summer salads, and farmers market crudité. Tables were decorated with familiar Ralph Lauren touches—lush white hydrangeas by florist VSF in RL Home Burleigh pitchers and a mix of blue denim tablecloths and napkins that paid homage to the POLO X FEED collection. 

“This year’s collection will continue to help fight hunger here at home, which is, unfortunately, all the more important as a result of the pandemic. Beyond hunger, this year’s collection will also be more environmentally friendly, utilizing sustainable materials and dyeing processes. These collections provide a personal and meaningful way to merge two brands I love, while also giving back in a big way to help families in need.”
