In 2020, proper pants (i.e., not sweatpants or even jeans) might have been an afterthought in our wardrobes, but as we reemerge, they’re slowly gaining relevance once again. So as you slip back into some trousers, why not try a pair with a little something extra? There are statement jeans and super-flared trousers, or consider something we’re especially liking lately: a pair of split-hem pants—that is, pants with a slit at the front.
Earlier this week, Queen Letizia of Spain put a modern twist on a classic suit with a bright red pair. And she’s not the only one into the breezy look.
