The result of 20 years of photographing abnormal weather conditions, Kikuji Kawada s The Last Cosmology (MACK) is a stunning compilation of impressionistic images of the cosmos. Photographed from 1980 to 2000, these images are part of his larger series, the “Catastrophe Trilogy,” which draws a parallel between the chaos of the skies and the end of two important eras that Kawada lived through: the Showa Era in Japan and the close of the 20th century.
