Emma Stone, Hoyeon Jung, and More Are Fans of This New Sleek Bag

It’s been a great summer for handbag inspiration. Celebrities have been busy carrying the hottest new designer styles around town, be it a Bottega Veneta shoulder bag or stealthy crossbody from The Row. And when A-listers start carting a style around, you know it’s only time before it becomes an It bag! We currently have our eye on a re-released Louis Vuitton style that’s been embraced by stars such as Emma Stone, Hoyeon Jung, Cate Blanchett, and more.

Called the GO-14, the padded lambskin top-handle bag was first introduced in Vuitton’s spring 2015 collection designed by Nicolas Ghesquière. Re-imagined for fall 2023, it was sprayed with a shiny malletage pattern that lends it a futuristic luster. It’s a decidedly more sleek accessory compared to Vuitton’s signature monogrammed Speedys or Coussin bags, finished off with a chain shoulder strap and LV twist clasp (a more subtle version of logomania, if you will). At $4,450 for the small size and $6,750 for the medium, it’s definitely an investment piece. Colorways include neutral black, brown, and white leathers with contrast stitching.

Why is it such a Hollywood hit, you ask? Its clean, modern feel means you can wear it with virtually any ensemble. Blanchett paired her white bag with a polished gray suit and sneakers; Stone matched her black purse to her black knitted crop top and maxi skirt; NewJeans member Hyein, meanwhile, opted for a pink style and wore it more casually with a blue denim jacket. No wonder it’s such a hit: Considering the high price point, you want your bag to work for you—not the other way around.

The streamlined silhouette also points to a broader trend. Recently, stars have been carrying bags that complete an outfit, rather than become the focal point (like Laura Harrier’s trustee Saint Laurent shoulder bag, for one.) The GO-14 certainly fits the bill—it’s a no-brainer finishing touch to any look. Considering it just was re-released this week, though, you’ll want to nab it before everyone else does.
