As a filmmaker, you can’t do better than to have Helen Mirren or Donald Sutherland sign on to your latest project—and to have both is assuredly a next-level feeling. Director Paolo Virzì, whose new movie, The Leisure Seeker, stars the two powerhouses and opened last evening at AMC Loews Lincoln Square, is the lucky man in question. “I’m a fan, first and foremost,” he confessed, turning his eye to the perfectly paired duo, who sat huddled together in deep conversation before their turns on the red carpet. “Just look at them. They have such a natural chemistry, even in real life.”
